Every row is a share of the same 504 plate appearances, so the lengths are directly comparable. 7 appearances get their own band rather than joining the outs, because this page carries no hit-by-pitch or sacrifice figure and a hit-by-pitch reaches base. Singles and other outs are derived from the season line rather than reported. The mark on each row is what a regular does — 211 hitters with at least 300 plate appearances this season, pooled.

Each bar is the RELATIVE gap between the two hands on that row — the widest gap in this card fills the track and every other bar is scaled against it. It is a gap, not a quality rating, and it is never normalized against another card or a league average. Plate appearances are context, so neither side leads that row.
